	Sam Houston Wayside North Lee Highway (U.S. Route 11), just north of I-81 Exit 195 Lexington, VA 24450
Description A monument of Texas pink granite honors the birthplace in Rockbridge County of Sam Houston, former governor of Tennessee and Texas. Location From I-81 Take exit #195. Follow Rt. 11 north for 100 yards. The wayside is on the right. From I-64 Take exit #55. Follow Rt. 11 north for 6 miles. The wayside is on the right. Admission Free! Hours Open daily dawn-dusk.
