Description Exhibit traces the national contributions of both Lee and Washington to education, illustrated by the rich history of W&L. Location From I-81 Lee Chapel and Museum is located just 2 miles off I-81 on the campus of Washington & Lee University. Take exit #191, this will put you on I-64 for 1 mile. Take exit #55 off I-64. Follow Rt. 11 south. As you go over the Maury River Bridge Rt. 11 will split. Merge to the right (Rt. 11 Business). Lee Chapel and Museum is on the right just past Virginia Military Institute. From I-64 Lee Chapel and Museum is located just 1.5 miles off I-64 on the campus of Washington & Lee University. Take exit #55. Follow Rt. 11 south. As you go over the Maury River Bridge, Rt. 11 will split. Merge to the right (Rt. 11 Business). Lee Chapel and Museum is on the right just past Virginia Military Institute. Admission Adults: $5 suggested donation, Children: $3 suggested donation. Hours Apr-Oct: Mon-Sat 9am-5pm. Sun 1pm-5pm. Nov-Mar: closes at 4pm. Closed for holidays and university events. Call ahead to verify hours.
