SCENIC DRIVES
Avenue of Trees - Lovely farmsteads, beautiful mountain scenery and a country road canopied by mature maple trees. From Lexington follow Rt. 11 north to Rt. 606 west to Rt. 252 south to Rt. 39 - loops back to Lexington or can take you through Goshen Pass.

Blue Ridge Parkway - Miles of scenic views along the Blue Ridge Mountains. Local access from Buena Vista on Rt. 60 east. Head north to meet with the Skyline Drive or head south all the way into North Carolina. Some parts closed in winter. Many overlooks, hiking, and picnic areas.

Goshen Pass - Scenic drive through a magnificent mountain gorge where you'll see mountain laurel, rhododendron, rocky cliffs and rushing whitewater. From Lexington follow Rt. 39 west past Rockbridge Baths. Overlook, pavilion, hiking, and public restrooms available. Beautiful drive through famous gorge.

Highlands Scenic Tour (unpaved) - Enjoy scenes of Lexington and the Rockbridge area atop North Mountain. From Lexington follow I-64 west to exit #43, turn left on ramp, go straight to FDR 447.

Route 130 - VA Scenic Byway - From Lexington follow 11 south to Rt. 130 east. Joins 501 in Glasgow and crosses Blue Ridge Parkway.
