Free Guided Walking Tours of Historic Lexington

Lexington, Buena Vista and Rockbridge Area Tourism is pleased to once again offer free guided walking tours of historic Lexington every Friday from April through November. The walking tours begin at the Lexington Visitor Center, pass through the historic downtown and the campus of Washington and Lee University and conclude at the Virginia Military Institute. Participants may then watch the VMI Full Dress Cadet Parade if one is scheduled or head into the George C. Marshall Museum or VMI Museum both located at VMI. The free tours begin at the Lexington Visitor Center every Friday at 3pm from April through November, rain or shine. Local residents, their guests and other visitors are welcome to join. No reservations are required. Private tours at other times of the week can also be arranged with prior notice.
